Along with her pal Teri Hart, Lainey dished out so much dirt on the most scandalous of Hollywood topics that seasoned smut hounds were literally drooling.

Lawrence Hong was a wonderful young man with a beautiful heart and spirit. I had the privilege of meeting Lawrence a few years ago when we were students together at the University of Calgary. He always lifted my spirits with his radiant smile and infectiously positive energy.

I’ve had a really busy few months, with my new job and rehearsing for 02 Dance Company’s Answers. Let me tell you about Answers – it’s an amazing contemporary dance show choreographed by the incredible Sarah Dolan and I hope you can come see it. Answers is playing November 7-9 at the Theatre Junction Grand and it’s a beautiful show that showcases stunning dancers as well as a captivating and compelling storyline.

Summer has finally arrived in Calgary and I’ve already taken my first vacation! Where did I go? I went to burger heaven! Yes, my friends, this mystical land does indeed exist and it’s located at the wonderful establishment known as Loungeburger, right here in Calgary!

Count on Mozart to bring out the elegance and classiness of cowtown! From March 21 – 23, 2013, the Calgary dance community enthusiastically gathered at the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium to attend Alberta Ballet’s production, Celebrating Mozart as well as to mix and mingle with the ballet’s company and staff at the annual subscribers recognition event.

This month, the Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS) once again held its annual event, Why should I hire you, just in time for summer job interview season!  This year’s event was held Wednesday, February 6, on the SAIT Polytechnic campus and was a tremendous success.

Located in Calgary, Alberta, SAIT offers a great variety of leading edge programs, including business, construction, travel and tourism, computer technology and much more! This month, SAIT Polytechnic once again hosted its extremely popular semi-annual Open House and as a new staff member within the School of Business, I had the honour of participating!

It’s been quite a turbulent year – we’ve had hurricanes, wars, tragic bullying and a lot more. But what I love about Christmas is that for once a year, many of us gather together to celebrate family, holiday cheer…and peace.

The fall season in Calgary got off to a tremendous start last weekend, with the first ever Nuit Blanche event in Calgary as well as the opening of Alberta Ballet’s season. I attended both events on Saturday, September 15th and I felt like one classy young gentleman that evening!

Well, as they say, all good things must come to an end. And yes, that includes summer 2012! As per usual, Calgary Pride took place over Labour Day long weekend and this year’s Pride was a stunning affair, showcasing what a supportive and diverse city Calgary has emerged into!

Well the 2012 London Olympics are in the history books now. And history was definitely made at these Olympics! Gabby Douglas became the first African American to win the Olympic women’s gymnastics all-around title, Michael Phelps officially became the greatest Olympian of all time, Misty May-Treanor and Keri Walsh Jennings won an unprecedented third straight Olympic title in women’s beach volleyball, Adam Van Koeverden made Canada proud with his silver medal performance in men’s kayaking, and Tom Daley stole the heart of Great Britain.
