I have bad news....I attended opening night of Alberta Theatre Projects' (ATP) latest play, The Circle this past Friday, October 23, and I was very disappointed with what I saw. Hailed by ATP as a provocative and brave depiction of the dangerous time of youth, there was tremendous hype leading up to Friday's world premiere of the show, which made it all the more disappointing.

Written by local playwright Geoffrey Simon Brown, who recently graduated from the National Theatre School, The Circle is an exciting new play about the turbulence of adolescence.

That’s when Theatre Calgary opens its production of Arthur Miller’s chilling masterpiece, The Crucible. Set in 1692 during the Salem witch trials in Massachusetts, The Crucible tells a disturbing tale of a community that is torn apart by fear.

Summer is my favourite season of the year and I absolutely love making the most out of it. This summer has been a particularly memorable one, because I’ve done a lot of fun, exciting things for the first time, as well as enjoyed some of my annual favourite activities. Wanderlust 108, EDC Vegas and Chasing Summer were some of the new events I had the pleasure of attending this year. Add to that the yearly TransAlta Evening Grandstand Show at the Calgary Stampede and this summer has been a smashing good time so far!
