9th annual event dished the dirt on celebs, fashion and sinfully divine products!

I’ve arrived in Toronto! Yes, this Calgary boy has ventured into the big apple of Canada. How did I spend my first night? By socializing at the celebrity gossip event of the season of course – the 2014 Smut Soiree!

Hosted by Elaine “Lainey” Lui, co-host of CTV’s daytime talk show, The Social and reporter for CTV’s eTalk, the 9th annual Smut Soiree drew bloggers, fashionista/ers, and everyone else who wanted to get the dirt on their fav celebrities. Along with her pal Teri Hart, Lainey dished out so much dirt on the most scandalous of Hollywood topics that seasoned smut hounds were literally drooling.

Some of my fav items of discussion were Ben Affleck’s morning-after party shenanigans, the uncovering of the real troublemaker at the infamous Beyoncé/Jay Z/Solange elevator event (Naomi Campbell!!!), and Bradley Cooper’s secret (and sexy) activities. What did Lainey NOT want to discuss…the Kardashians – and who could blame her?

What else was there to drool over besides the gossip? For this boy, there were three things:

1. Skinny Cow’s delicious, low calorie ice cream bars

2. Grey Goose’s summertime cocktails, featuring to-die-for flavours such as L'Orange, La Poire and Cherry Noir

3. Silk’s Smoothie bar, featuring divine almond milk smoothies with a dash of Bacardi

H&M and Flare Magazine were on hand to show off this summer’s must-know fashion trends, Rimmel London treated guests to a beauty bar where they got to test drive Rita Ora’s new nail and lip collection, and TRESemmé’s travel-sized product bar gave us the goods to look, smell and feel our best wherever we venture this summer. Guests were also able to stay hydrated, courtesy of Vitamin Water.
