The Tony Award-winning musical opens tonight at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre and runs until September 4th, after which the boys will be on to their next city to melt some more hearts.
Our favourite boys are back in town! That’s right, The Book of Mormon, presented by Broadway Across Canada, is back in Van and so are some of the most adorable Mormon missionaries ever! And they’re on a mission to steal your hearts with their cuteness and killer song and dance skills.

If you’re a student, you’re in luck. Broadway Across Canada has set aside 20 Student Rush tickets for each performance. Just show up at the box office two hours before a performance, flash your valid student ID, and you’ll be able to snag up to two Student Rush tickets for $25.00 plus tax. Student tickets are sold on a first-come-first served basis, so make sure you get there even earlier than two hours before curtain just to be safe.

“Written by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone and Avenue Q co-creator Robert Lopez, The Book of Mormon follows two young Mormon missionaries sent to Uganada, who soon discover their training did not quite prepare them for the world outside of Salt Lake City. The Broadway production opened in March 2011 and went on to win nine Tonys, including Best Musical, Best Score, and Best Director. The original Broadway cast recording took home a Grammy Award in 2012 for Best Musical Theater Album.
The cast features Ryan Bondy as Elder Price, Cody Jamison Strand as Elder Cunningham, Candace Quarrels as Nabulungi, Daxton Bloomquist as Elder McKinley and Sterling Jarvis as Mafala Hatimbi.
The musical is directed by Parker and Casey Nicholaw, who also serves as choreographer. The Book of Mormon features set design by Scott Pask, costume design by Ann Roth, lighting design by Brian MacDevitt and sound design by Brian Ronan.
