What can you do in 8 days? Why not make a short film? The only problem with that idea is that films of any length require a lot of resources. And that’s how the idea of Crazy8s came about.
Crazy8s is an annual filmmaking competition and festival in Vancouver. Filmmakers pitch their short film ideas to the Crazy8s jury. Six films are selected, and the creators are provided with $1,000 and other resources from sponsors to create their short film in 8 days. The films are then premiered at the Crazy8s gala screening, with an epic after party to follow.
This year, the 6 films that have made it to the gala screening are:
· ITSY BITSY SPIDER - Horror

o Shortly after moving in together, a young man begins to suspect his boyfriend of infidelity as he uncovers clues around their apartment while trying to catch a loose spider.
· MR. JAMES IS DEAD - Action, Comedy
