While many of us have started our annual tradition of binging holiday movies and treats, five emerging choreographers have been hard at work as part of NEXT: New Dance in Development. From November 29 December 13, 2021, All Bodies Dance Project artists romham pádraig gallacher and Lance Lim; Shion Skye Carter; Ralph Escamillan; and Zahra Shahab are developing new works at the SFU Goldcorp Centre for the Arts in Vancouver, BC.

Thanks to funding from DanceHouse and 149 Arts Society, with support from the National Arts Centre (NAC), artists in the project have access to studio space, and theatre and technical resources during the residency.

The residency efforts will cumulate in a free virtual presentation on Wednesday, December 15 at 4:00pm PT. Register to watch the performance. While you’re enjoying your holiday treats, kick your festive entertainment up a notch with these exciting and diverse dance works.
