Where was I this weekend? I was transported back in time to 1692, to the town of Salem, Massachusetts, just in time for the infamous Salem witch trials! But don’t worry, I was only an audience member…at Theatre Calgary’s opening night performance of The Crucible.
The Crucible is a Tony Award winning play written by acclaimed playwright Arthur Miller. The production, which will chill you to the bone, tells an insidiously evil tale of a group of teenage girls who destroy their town through accusations of witchcraft.
The show was disturbingly compelling and the performances were first-rate. This is a dark story that may haunt you for a while…I definitely recommend it! Check out my review of the show here.
See you at the theatre!
